What does Omer Khan do?

I’m the founder and director of Afiniti Global and the founder of XO Ai. My work combines product direction, AI advisory and software delivery. My role depends on the project: founder and owner, technical consultant, or lead contractor.

Can you advise on AI without building a new app?

Yes. My advisory work includes helping Taxara consider practical AI opportunities in UK accounting and fintech, and advising artists at The Gallery 21 on embracing AI. A conversation can begin with a specific task or question rather than a commitment to build software.

What experience informs your AI advice?

My software experience began in 2013, before my work in AI. Taxara was my first major AI project, where I helped with model fine-tuning and organised delivery of the AI work. I also bring the perspective of founding XO Ai and owning AllSorted.

How do product direction and delivery fit together?

Product direction establishes who the product serves and what it needs to do. Delivery turns those choices into working software and brings feedback into the next set of decisions. At Taxara, my lead-contractor role covered the initial build, pilot testing, launch and updates from 2024 through early 2026.

Direction has to survive the detail of delivery. I stay close to the technical work, help organise the build and bring product decisions through development, testing and launch.

Taxara hired Afiniti Global and me as lead contractor. We built, pilot-tested, launched and updated the platform from 2024 through early 2026.

My route into AI started with software development. Working across mobile apps, backend systems and blockchain gave me a technical foundation for the product and business decisions I make today.

Taxara was my first major AI project. Alongside leading delivery through Afiniti Global, I helped with model fine-tuning and organising the AI work. That relationship has continued into technical consultancy.

My work now spans different kinds of responsibility: founding XO Ai, owning AllSorted and advising artists at The Gallery 21. Each calls for a different view of what technology can usefully do.
